Until now my Garmin Nuvi connected perfectly to Virtual PC. Help

I updated the Map information on Virtual PC and when I tried to send
to the device ie the NUvi it could not find it. I have tried
unplugging the device and reconnecting. It tells me that a device is
attached and opens USB settings lets me check the boxes but then the
Garmin beaps and starts ito operate as asat nav.

If I switch it off and on again it again opens usb settings and allows
me to check the boxes but is still not visible in virual PC but IS
visible on my Mac desktop as USB devices.

Can anyone help

Thanks

Garmin's devices, as a rule, haven't "played well" with VPC.  Usually
because they require a USB 2.0, which VPC never has supported nor ever
will (it's been discontinued by M$).

If you can't get your device to be seen by MacOS X and use MacOS X
software to access and update it, I suspect you're out of luck here.

Yes, Garmin even says on their website that their software is PC only.
They don't do Mac software.

I'm just happy that VPC allowed me to update my Garmin 330.
