I haven't even gotten the product yet, just sent off for it. But It
would be nice to know if you are able to parttion the hard drive space
needed for XP on a external drive. One; is this even possible? And
if So, how would I go about doing that?

There is no partitioning at all. VPC is an app and the virtual
machines are simply files on your Mac, and as such can be located on
any hard drive attached to your Mac.

VPC doesn't use partitions, its virtual disks are an ordinary Macintosh
file. You can locate it anywhere, by selecting the location in VPC's PC
Settings dialogue.
