I have an old version of windows 98 and did an install and it took a
while but it worked.
I tried to reset windows XP on VPC 7 but it says NO OS installed.
the version of VPC says Virtual PC for Mac ver 7 WITH WINDOWS XP
PROFESSIONAL
Shouldn't this work ?

Hi Lorne!
I'm confused. You said you simply couldn't see the START button. You
didn't quite mention that you're getting a message telling you no OS was
installed.
Windows XP will install into VPC. Have you tried deleting the Windows
machine in the VPC list and starting over?
