Hi Lorne!

Are you sure it's not just hidden or possibly the start bar has been
dragged to the bottom of the window where it's not just a thin line? Try
dragging it up.

Hope this helps! bill

I have an old version of windows 98 and did an install and it took a
while but it worked.
I tried to reset windows XP on VPC 7 but it says NO OS installed.
the version of VPC says Virtual PC for Mac ver 7  WITH WINDOWS XP

Shouldn't this work ?

thanx

Hi Lorne!

I'm confused. You said you simply couldn't see the START button. You
didn't quite mention that you're getting a message telling you no OS was
installed.

Windows XP will install into VPC. Have you tried deleting the Windows
machine in the VPC list and starting over?

If you see a blue Mac scrolling bar in your VPC window, try to scroll
down or press a green button in the left upper corner of the window.
Sometimes it happens that your VPC screen does not fit the window. If
looks confusing as your computer screen is inside your Mac window.
