I'm thinking of buying virtual pc for mac. I have an non intel imac g5 and
have tried other emulators before but fell asleep waiting for the programs
to load as it was so slow.
I would be very obliged if anyone could advise if this is a good program and
worth the money. I am realistic and know it will probably be slower. I want
to use it to access desktop publishing file (Publisher), and don't need it
to access the internet etc. Purely file access. Thanks in advance. Jim

All things being equal, VPC will work for you. Besides, there's a 45
day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not pleased, return it for a
refund

Many thanks have now got virtual pc for mac and was very pleased with the
results. Have installed both XP Pro & Windows 2000 sp3 and am still trying
to decide which one is faster. Not much so far between the two. Publisher and
Adobe works fine in both virtual machines as long as you give larger files
time to open. Was surprised at how fast this program was compared to other
virtual progs that Ive tried in the past. Installation was easy as long as
you catch 'Install from cd' command on the balck screen before it gets to
'Operating system not found' or you have to start agian. I will be watching
this news group from now on. Many thanks Jim
