Is it possible to upgrade Windows from within Virtual PC?

I just purchased VPC 7, expecting to load XP, forgetting that my XP
disc is the upgrade disc rather than the full-install.  Of course I
have Win-ME - can I use that and then upgrade my Mac to XP?  If so, how
do I do it?

Start the installation with the XP disc, eventually you'll reach a
point where the installer asks for proof of a previous version, eject
the XP, and insert the ME disk, then follow the rest of the on-screen
installation instructions.  After XP is completely installed, don't
forget to install the VM Additions.
