windows xp

i currently use windows xp on virtual pc 7 on my mac. My mac has 1ghz
g4 1gb of ram. I set the windows xp ram to 256 (half of 512) if i set
the ram to 32-60 will it still run?

Microsoft officially recommends 128mb, 64mb minimum (some features may
be impaired).  XP runs well with 256mb, if it all possible I would stay
there.

Windows 2000 will run fine in 128MB.  You can go down to 64MB if you really
need to.

It really doesn't make any sense to go below 256MB. This doesn't mean
that allocating 256MB of RAM to Windows will forever deprive your Mac
of that amount of RAM. It simply means that when Windows is running, it
will have 256MB of RAM to access for running Windows applications
