Hello,
I have installed Virtual PC6 and the 6.11 update.
Now do I have to go to the Microsoft site and download Windows Security
Updates and other Windows XP files, or are these two Virtual PC
installations all I need?
I have been reading about AVG antivirus software and the need for
anti-spyware, which I also need to install.

VPC is not Windows. It is like a different computer on which you have
installed Windows. Patches to VPC have no bearing on Windows. In fact you
are not limited to running just Windows or any one version of it.
You need to do all things in Windows that Windows needs, such as updates,
hotfixs, etc., as well as provide for virus and spyware protection. None of
your Mac software can provide these services for the Windows guest.
