I am looking to purchase a Garmin etrex colour GPS for use whilst cycling. I have a Mac PowerBook G4 running OSX10.3.9 and VPC 7.0.1 and use tracklogs. It's been reported here that for the most part the Garmin GPS units, they don't won't work at all with VPC nor are they supported by the vendor. Best bet is to buy a MacOS X compatible GPS instead and not bother with VPC.  SignatureDeeDee, don't press that button! DeeDee! NO! Dee... Thanks for your reply. For GPS and Mac OS X start here: http://www.macgpspro.com/ USB is hit and miss with VPC. I have spent some of today trying to get Activesync 4.2 (beta) running in VPC/XP to talk to an Axim X51 PDA without success. Michael Paine |
