I am having trouble loading window in virtual pc 6.1.1 on my G4 (OS
10.1.5)

Is windows supposed to already be running after i installed virtual PC
or do I need to install an operating system?

I tried to install Windows XP form an old disk I had, but it didn't
seem to be reading my disk properly. It kept saying "please insert CD
and hit enter"

So, how can I get windows (any version) to on my system?

Depends.  Do you have a version of VPC that includes Windows, or jus
the stand-alone version without Windows?  Are you upgrading from a
previous version of VPC that was on your system with Windows?

Where is the XP cd-rom from?  Is it an original Windows XP cd-rom from
a previous version of VPC?

You need to have a full version of XP, then you create the new VM,
insert the XP cd-rom and install it in the VPC just like you would on
a real computer.
