I recently installed Virtual PC 6.1.1 for mac. I can only get it to run
in DOS mode so I figured i needed to install the operating system.
I found my old windows XP disc and tried to install it
After accepting the license agreement, it said to insert the CD
and hit enter. I ejected the CD and reinserted and it kept saying
the same message. I appears my disc isn't being read properly.
How can I either install widows XP from my disk, or find another
way to run windows (any version) on Virtual PC?

Does the disc you're inserting have a pre-installed Windows OS?

You can install Windows manually, just like you would on a real
computer

Create a new drive image, name it and set up the parameters following
the prompts (Choose XP not DOS). Start up that drive image, it will
complain "OS Not Found." Close it. Now insert the XP CD. Start up
drive image again, XP CD should be recognized and install starts.
