Installing new version of VPC

I currently have version 6 (Win 98) running on my iBook with Tiger
10.4.6. I have version 7 with Win 2000 ready to install, a gift from my
family. However, the version they bought me isn't the upgrade version;
it's the full installation. (Did they ask me what I needed before they
bought it??? Nope. And now that it's open.... They meant well, though.
<g>)

I don't quite understand how to install this over my current version.
Can someone give me some pointers, please? I also need to know if I will
be able to migrate my data, since version 7 won't recognize my current
Win 98.

Thanks.

Why do you think VPC 7 won't recognize Win98?

All you need to do is install VPC7, then import Win98.

Okay, so far so good then. :) Thanks for that -- the manual says Win98
can't be used with VPC7.

One more thing, though; I hope you don't mind silly questions. This
version of VPC7 isn't the upgrade, as I said before. Will it, however,
overwrite VPC6 that I already have? I don't need both of them.

Thanks again!

To clarify, how do I uninstall VPC6, if VPC7 doesn't overwrite it?
There's no installer on my VPC6 disk; it was a simple drag-drop thing.

Thanks once more.

You could just leave it, since VPC itself is very small, and having
VPC6 and VPC7 both installed doesn't effect anything.

Thanks for the advice, Steve. :) I'm plugging away at the moment. <G>

Does it say it can't be used or is not supported?  I think it says
it's no longer supported.  I have run Win98 under VPC7 without issue,
it's just that if you run into problems, you can't get help from MS,
since Win98 is out of support.

IIRC, you should be able to just delete the VPC folder/icon to remove
it.
