I have been trying to get hold of a trial or evaluation copy for ages but
can't get one.  I want to know if I can run Sage products on a Mac using
VPC.

Anyone got a trila copy I could take a copy of or has anyone ran Sage
products on a Mac using VPC?

Cheers Daniel.

The only "trial" version of VPC that I'm aware of was really more of a
beta version than anything else. It came out in 2001 shortly after the
release of Mac OS X 10.1 and was called "Virtual PC Test Drive". It was
a proof-of-concept device for Connectix's foray into getting VPC to work
with OS X.

Although a beta, it still required a valid license key to be entered
before it would work (term used loosely as it crashed more often than
not).

If you have an Apple Store relatively close to your location, you could
politely persuade them to load the Sage products on a demo machine
running VPC to see if it works. It depends upon how willing the store
personnel are in doing such a test, but it might be possible to find
someone who is just as curious as you are.

I have tested applications or web based services requiring Windows for
others.  If you can direct me to a trial version of the Sage
application to download I would be willing to test it out on either
98, 2000 or XP Home for you.
