I've recently purchased a T-Mobile MDA PRO (aka iMate JasJar) with
windows mobile 5 on it.  although I'm quite impressed with the device
and the software I cannot get ActiveSync to work with my virtual (XP
Pro) PC at all.  The Microsft help pages don't cover Mac Issues, which
I think is the problem here.  It seems that the MDA running Wondows
Mobile 5 does not like connecting the VPC through the Mac USB
interface.  VPC can see the device on the USB but claims it won't start
(code 10)  the MDA does not register the mac or VPC at all.  as it will
be 2-3 months before a version of packetMac which can handle WIndows
Mobile 5 is available, is there any other way I can get the MDA to sync
with the VPC?

Mac OS used is 10.4.5 on ibook 1.2Ghz 12" with 750Mb RAM

You might try wandering around these pages for someone who had a similar
problem with a phone.  The workaround was to get VPC to use COM1 or COM2
to talk to the phone through USB.  I'm not quite sure how they did that.
But other than that, I think you'll have to wait for MacOS X support or
buy a PC.
