Has anyone found a way to have vpc spread over multipe monitors the way every
other mac application does? I have a dual monitor setup, and vpc snaps to
either one monitor or the other, but I haven't found a way to tease it into
occupying more than a single monitor at a time. Is this a function of a) vpc
b) the video card c) something else entirely?

It's Virtual PC, because the Trio S3 video driver in Virtual PC
does not handle displays of that size (where it can span multiple
monitors).

Best you can hope for is to resize Virtual PC's video RAM to 16 MB,
see what the largest Windows desktop size available is, and then
run Virtual PC in windowed mode and have the window cross
the two monitors in a way that suits you best.

But... doing this will impact performance of the virtual machine.
It's best to have the one virtual machine display on one Macintosh
monitor.
