I've been trying to get Windows media player version 10 to work on my
new G4 for two weeks. I was told to load Virtual PC XP Pro and then it
would work. Nothing else has workes so I'm hesitant to spend the
$200.00 without any guarantees. Suggestions please.

If that's all you want to do is run Windows Media player (so you can
watch DRM'd p0rn), then I'd save your $200 and buy a cheap PC instead.
It's slow and choppy on VPC.

If you also want to run other things like games that require or 3D
graphics card or need to connect up certain GPS or phones and synch to
various Microsoft programs, again, you probably won't be a happy camper
with VPC.

As far as I know, the last version of WMP for Mac is 9.0.  That may explain
why you can't get 10.0 to run.  As far as running WMP 10 in XP under VPC,
you may not like the performance and no one in this newsgroup can guarantee
anything.  Sorry.
