I'm looking for help with VPC and PPP. I have a Windoze-only
application that uses Telnet to get to a remote host. I set up a PPP
connection to the remote network using my Mac's Internet Connect app
(Tiger), but it appears that the Windoze app can't take advantage of
the PPP connection on the Mac side, because I cannot telnet to the host
(my wife can do so from her Thinkpad, so I know I'm using the correct
IP address and TCP port for the remote host). VPC is set to Shared
Networking. The Mac is connected to the Internet via cable modem (an
Airpoprt base station is acting as a router using NAT.

Anyone have any ideas what I'm missing?

You need to use Virtual Switch networking for VPN connections

This is not a VPN application; VPN (via the Internet) works fine and
has for years. It's a plain old PPP connection between my Mac and a
remote network (no encription, etc.).
