I had to reinstall Virtual PC recently and ran into a problem with my
keyboard.  The numeric keypad no longer works correctly.  I can
navigate with it but I can't get it to enter numbers.  I'm a 10key kind
of guy and its killing me to enter numbers using the standard number
keys.  I toggled the Num Lock key multiple times, restarted both
VirtualPC and the Mac, reinstalled Virtual PC, and created a new PC and
nothing happens.  I have a Powerbook G4 running 10.4.2 with a standard
extended external keyboard attached.  It worked fine before the
reinstall and works fine in OS X.

What version of VPC?

Forgot that....  7.0.2, the keyboard works when directly connected to a
PC and I updated my Virtual Machine Additions after I upgraded to 7.0.2.

Okay, I just tried this on my machine, also a G4 powerbook with an
external keyboard and it works. Did you, perhaps, attempt installing
keyboard or mouse drivers within Windows (you shouldn't)? Otherwise, I
am unsure...
