Hello,
I'm trying to install Windows XP Pro on my new version of VPC 7 that
came without an OS. I didn't buy an OS because I can get one free from
the MSDN Academic Alliance. Because of this, I'm trying to install from
an ISO image or a CD burned from an ISO image.

Whenever I start VPC to install XP from an ISO image or CD, the DOS
cursor drops down a line, and stays there flashing. I've read
installing from an ISO image can take a while to start, but I have
waited about an hour, without the cursor moving. I'm completely
stumped, although there is CPU activity while I am waiting. Am I just
being impatient?? If anyone has ANYTHING AT ALL that may help...PLEASE
post!!! I'm desperate!

Thanks

I can't speak for the .iso that you're using, but I've done this
before. If it doesn't work the first time, go to the PC menu and select
'Reset'.
