Strange Problem Any ideas?

Hi All

This weekend I ran the disc compactor and then saved all changes and zeroed
unused disk space.

This morning I cannot login to my computer/network.

It says Domain Controller is down.

Well its not.

If I start up an older version of this image it starts and works fine, its
just THIS image that is not working.

I HAVE CHANGED NOTHING ELSE, none of the settings etc on what WAS a working
image.

Any ideas please?

Okay, now this is getting stranger.

I had to reboot the old image and now IT won't login to the network
either!!!!!!!!!!

Something about Domain Controller down and/or account not recognised.

On impulse I closed my Airport connection severing my connection to the
network.

BOTH images booted fine.............

I then re-enabled Airport and both images connected and worked
fine..........

What the hell is going on??????

Hi

Has no-one here seen this problem or can throw any light on it?

I still cannot reboot up my VPC image and login if I am connected to my
network in any way.

I simply get the Domain controller/password error.

However if I boot when not connected it logs in fine and if I then attach my
computer to the network it works perfectly.

I did NOT have this problem a week ago so something has changed and I have
no idea what it is!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP.
