I have attempted to use Windows XP on Virtual PC 7.0.2 to program a
Garmin GPS datacard using a Jeppesen Skybound USB card programming
device. I have set the Virual PC Preferences to recognize an "unknown
USB device." Everything about the software (Jeppesen) and hardware
works right up until I tell the software to program the card. Then I
get a dialog box saying that Windows XP does not recognize the USB
device. The box asks if the device is connected. Just to check, I have
tried running the program until the box asks about connecting the
device and then plugging it in. Same result: The program says that it
does not recognize the USB device. Any other Mac users who are pilots
using Jeppesen Skybound found a solution or workaround for this
problem? Anybody know of any Mac-compatible USB card programming device
that would load the Skybound data onto Garmin GPS cards?
