I have a windows program with document ready to print... Windows X-P
sees my USB printer through VPC... when I print the document... the
lights on printer react, but then I see where the printed document
still stays in "print que"...

Any idea of what I have set incorrectly, or am doing incorrectly?

Thanks,

Reed

Assuming you mean the print queue on the Mac, you're using the VM
additions printer, not direct USB printing. If so, DON'T enable the
printer as USB within the VM. USB devices can only be used by one
"computer" at a time, so if you enable the printer as USB in the VM,
that means the Mac can no longer print to it.

OK, but then what would you recommend I set inorder for me to print
from the running Windows program while in Windows X-P?

I've tried to load a printer, but with no luck.

Thanks for your help.

To print from Windows XP, you should use the default installed VM
Additions printer. If you print to that, VPC will then pass the file to
the Macintosh and it will print to your default printer on the Mac.

Note that this does not work with VPC 7.0.1 under Tiger. You will have
to update to 7.0.2.

You can also set up emulated printing without using the VM Additions
print driver. The steps to do this are in the kb article below:
