I¹ve used earlier versions of VPC and it slowed my mac down terribly.
Question: Does VPC slow down Tiger, and if it¹s not running (not launched)
will it be using any memory or resources, therefore slowing down the os if
I¹m not using any apps in VPC?
Thanks in advance.

If VPC is not running, it will not use any of the Mac's resources,
other than hard drive space for installation.

Of course, VPC is going to have a big impact on the speed of a Mac
while its running, its a very resource intensive program.

VPC uses about 3% of CPU when idling. Less if some other app needs it.
