Palm HotSync

Does anyone know the definitive way to get palm HotSync to work under
VPC?

I use my mac (OSX 10.3.3) for HotSyncing everything. But I've recently
installed VPC in order to use Quicken for Windows. I am rather hoping it
might be possible to use Pocket Quicken this way, but I can't figure out
how to get it to work. If I try to setup the PQkn conduit on the mac,
the Quicken files (in the mac shared folder) are greyed out. Same thing
if I try mounting the PC's C: drive.

So then I tried installing PalmDesktop/ HotSync and Pocket Qkn on the
VPC. But can't get HotSync to work - nothing happens at all, no
connection established. I've tried disabling HS on the mac side, and the
PC can definitely see the Palm device (cradle, USB). But no go...

I've seen some posts in other places from people who say it works like a
breeze; but I'm clearly not the only one with a different story.  Is
there some key piece of info that will do it....?

I both Hotsync and Activesync using USB with VPC for 98SE, 2000 and XP
successfully in 10.3.3 with 100% reliability.  Try following my tips
posted here for good results:

Note that the tips refer specifically to Activesyncing but the
procedures apply directly to Hotsyncing also.  Be sure to follow ALL
the tips for success.

Thanks, Bruce. I'll give it a go (when I get a chance) and let you know
how it goes.
