Hi,

Can I run Win98 on VPC 6.1 for Mac - Standalone ?

Thank you.

Yes - I do. During installation of VPC select the option to install
Windows from a separate CD then use your Win98 CD when prompted.

YOu will also need a boot disk, most Win98 cd-roms were not bootable.

My Windows 98SE was! I installed it about a year ago that way. Don't
have a floppy drive for my Mac to boot it otherwise.

My copy of 98SE came with VPC3 as an official MS retail install CD
without need for a boot floppy.

Some cd's were, most weren't.  Generally, only OEM cd-roms were
bootable, and even then, not all were.

Also, you don't need a floppy drive, just a floppy disk image to boot
off of a floppy, like the one at my site, or from bootdisk.com
