HI,

hope someone can help me.

I am using VPC5  WIN 98 on an i mac 500Hz OS 9.2. Using IE5 with no
problems. Yesterday, suddenly cannot surf the net. IE5 says server
cannot be found. Using imac surf net no problem. thought it was my
current virtual machine, but when used other already installed virtual
machine, same problem with IE5, hence must be a VPC general problem.
When click on network control in WIN 98 contro panel, box says network
not complete, do I want to continue. Think PC cannot read the dynamic
IP address. I did not load anything new recently.  Please advise. Thank
you in advance.

If the "network is not complete" it sounds as though some of the services
that should be bound to the Windows 98 adapter have gone missing.

It may be that an internet site has tried to hijack your browser and install
its own dialler (this happens on Windows 9.x).

Start Internet Explorer and go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections.  In
VPC, by default there should not be any connections.  If there are, try
removing it.

Hope this helps
