In the Read Me for the beta of RDC2, you write:
------
VPN or Wireless Network
When you are connected to your Windows-based computer via a VPN or
wireless network, the Remote Desktop Connection session window may
become temporarily unresponsive. When this happens, the session window
may appear frozen for ten seconds or more, and then become responsive
again. If the issue persists, quit the Remote Desktop Connection
application, and try reconnecting to your Windows-based computer.
------
This happens to be 100% of the time when connecting to my Vista
machine at work from my Mac Mini Intel at home. I can make the
connection, but then after a short period of functionality the
connection freezes. Sometimes it comes back, other times it's gone for
good and I have to start over. I had the same problem with the last
1.x version of RDC. My Vista machine is configured per your
recommendations and does not require network level authentication.
In all cases, RDC (1.x and 2.0b) works fine when I connect to an XP
machine at work. Both the Vista and XP machines are on the same
network and use the same VPN. The XP one maintains connection just
fine and the Vista one stalls or drops.
Since this is a known issue, do you have any guidance or any
expectation of it being solved? Is there anything I can do to help
troubleshoot?

Did you ever find a fix for this? I have the exact same issue and it's
very frustrating.

Nothing new here. I keep hoping though.
