Is there an easy (direct) way to move a file from a Remote Desktop
session onto the Mac desktop (without using email, for example)? I
would like to transfer files back and forth (to burn onto the Mac
optical drive).

Thanks in advance for any help

Easiest way is to change your RDC Options and share your hard drive.
Then you will have access to your Mac hard drive inside your Remote
Desktop session.
