I was using RDC successfully to connect my MacBook Pro w/10.4.8 to my
XP box at work until a couple of weeks ago.  Now when I connect all I
get is a blue window that looks like part of the XP login screen, and I
am not able to log in to the computer.  I've tried all of the display
settings in the Options menu.  The last time I successfully logged in I
experimented with those settings and I suspect I broke something.  Help!

I was able to fix my problem by removing the folder named 'RDC Client'
from the  preferences folder on the Mac.  it is in My
Home/Library/Preferences/Microsoft

I had to re-establish my settings, but it seems to be stable now.

Well, that fix did not hold.  The same problem came back again last
night.  The only difference I can see is that this time I left the PC
at work logged in.  At lunch today I will log out from work, go home
and try to log in remotely and see if I can narrow down the conditions.

Aaarrrgh....

I gave up trying to run this reliably on the Mac.  Jsut too buggy for
me.  I hate to say that I finally broke down and bought a copy of XP
Professional and installed in on my intel MacBook using Boot Camp, and
now I boot into the XP partition when I want to use remote
desktop.  That works reliably great!
