We have two Macs and three Windows XP Pro systems and use RDC to run
Windows-only apps from the Macs. Also use to maintain the "headless"
server system. All systems have the latest versions/patches of the
OSes.
In the past week we discovered that the Macs were no longer able to
access any of the Windows systems using RDC, getting an error that the
server couldn't be found. Not that file sharing still works among all
the systems, it's only RDC that fails.
Deleting the preference files and reinstallation did nothing to help.
The only recent comment I could find was someone saying that RDC
stopped after installing the latest Java release on his Mac. I did some
searching and discovered that the Java runtime file is dated last week,
when means my systems were updated as well.
Any suggestions of what to do, or where to report the problem? The Java
release cannot be backed out.

Have you tried connecting to the windows systems by IP address, rather than
name?
