I haven't personally run RDC under Rosetta, but other discussions in
this forum pretty well confirm that RDC will run on an Intel Mac.
RDC is an application that relies on network performance. It does very
little processor intensive work compared to most other applications
because it's simply sending keystrokes and mouse clicks as well as
receiving screen refreshes from the Windows machine. All the processing
is happening on the Windows machine itself. Performance should be
comparable to a PowerPC Mac for the most part. Again, other posts in
this forum also conclude that it works well under Intel.
Hope this helps! bill

Hi,
I've installed RDC 1.03 on a Mac Mini running OS X 10.4.5 and found
that each time I log off, RDC hangs and I have to force quit. I assumed
this has something to do with the fact that it's running under Rosetta
but maybe there's a network setting that might be causing the problem?
We use a proxy server, could this have an effect?
Thanks in advance,
Mitch

I have no such problems on a MacBook Pro running 10.4.6 connecting to a
Windows 2003 Terminal Server.

RDC 1.0.3 for Mactinosh will run under Rosetta on an Intel based Mac.

Are there any plans to release a Universal version of RDC?

Microsoft hasn't made any announcements regarding its plans for a
Universal binary. However, the current version will run under Rosetta
and you probably won't notice much improvement in performance if/when a
Universal binary is released. With RDC, the processing and speed come
from the Windows machine.
