weird one here, wonder if anyone can help

i've had RDC (1.0.3) running my single 1.8GHz G5 for about 2 months,
works perfectly. then for no reason one day it stopped working, when
you try load it, the icon keeps bouncing in the tray and sends the
processer to 100%, the only way to solve the problem is to quit the
process.

Now what is strange is that RDC works fine for all other profiles on
the computer except for mine. so all i did was create myself a new
profile and merge all my data to the new account. that worked fine for
about a week or so and now the same problem is happening again. RDC
wont load and sends the processer to 100%.

it takes me way too long to create a new profile and use that so has
anyone expirenced this problem before and come up with a solution? i
wondered if there was a file in my Library that might be causing the
problem but can't seem to find anything. Any advice would be great,

many thanks

When you say you created a new profile, do you mean a new Mac OS account, or
new settings in RDC 1.0.3 for Mac?

Try deleting the RDC preferences and see if that helps.  You can find them
at:

~/library/preferences/com.microsoft.rdc.plist
~/library/preferences/Microsoft/RDC Client

Delete both the com.microsoft.rdc.plist and RDC Client folder.  Please let
me know if that fixes the problem.

James,

Many thanks!!!!

I recently replied to one of your other posts. After deleting:

~/library/preferences/com.microsoft.rdc.plist
~/library/preferences/Microsoft/RDC Client

And reinstalling RDC, my MacBook Pro is working again. I guess the J2SE
5.0 Release 4 was a red herring.

Thanks again,
Bill
