I'm trying to connect to my work computer from my powerbook (OS
10.3.9). I'm connecting using a Cisco VPN client and then trying to
remote desktop to my work computer.
When doing this I'm getting an error message saying "The client could
not connect to the remote computer. The specified remote computer could
not be found. Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or
IP address, and then try again."
I tried adding the correct proxies to my airport settings, but this
didn't seem to help.
However, when I open Virtual PC running Windows XP I can connect using
the Cisco VPN client and then remote desktop to my computer. I have no
problems doing it this way and I'm doing both on the same computer. Any
suggestions??

I got that many times here on our network with one of the machines. It
was a network problem in our case.
Try to see if you can ping the PC. In our case, wesimply couldn't. The
NetAdmin changed the IP (which was static) and now everything is
peachy...

try enabling remote access on the remote computer you are trying to connect
to, also give grant access to you account you are connecting with.
