I was able to log onto my company's terminal server (which is a Windows
2003) from my Mac at home using the Remote Desktop Connection I
downloaded.  Now apparently, my license has expired.  But I know that
my company has a current license with Microsoft.
The IT people at work have no idea how to fix this, since they never
work on Macs.  Anyone have any helpful advice?  Email me at
tmoreland1@bellsouth.net.

where would I find those files on the mac?

Hi Bill!

That's what I referred to: /Users/Shared.

On Mac OS X, the " / " refers to to the "root" of your system, which is
most often associated with the top level of your startup disk.
Therefore, if your startup disk is named "Macintosh HD" then open it
and look for the "Users" folder. Open the "Users" folder and you'll find
the "Shared" folder. Inside the "Shared" folder, you'll find a folder
related to Microsoft's RDC client.

Hope this helps! bill

Hey William,
I was able to find the Shared Folder with the Microsoft folder.  But I
clicked on the Microsoft folder, and it just gave me the log on screen.
And I'm still not able to log on, so those folders don't work for me.
Is there something in the folder that I should be looking for?

Hi Ted!

Try trashing the folder and its contents. I believe this is where the
licensing / trial period information is stored. Once you've trashed
these files, reconnect with RDC and see what happens.

Hope this helps! bill

William,

I've already done that.  I deleted the application and then downloaded
again.  But it must have some way to remember me, because it won't let
me log in.

Let me know if there's any other option.  Thanks for your help on this.
I'd love to be able to get this fixed.  I currently have 2 computers
on my desk and that's not working.
