when I add a NSString variable to a memory watch window a portion of the
string is displayed properly followed by ...

For example:
/Users/Prestor/Library/Application Support/iPhone
Simulator/User/Applications/05515B47-ID98-4369-8A...

How can I view the entire string???

What is the best forum for MAC and iPhone developement.  It appears this
news group is not very active.

One of the old ways was to open the Debugger Console window and type

po stringVariableName

at the prompt. There might be a better way these days. I use po so often
that having a console window open is pretty much essential when I'm
debugging.

This one is not too bad. Questions seem to generally get a response,
there's just not that many questions (which is nice!). You might like
to have a browse through:

Apple's mailing lists are generally very well attended. I see there is
one for iPhone Safari development, but apparently not for iPhone dev
in general.
