Hallo NG,

this morning I have started a new project.
In the last few month I had some serios problems with bad fonts on
some machines. I you have a crippled font-file in your system it is
sometime hard to debug because some applications are just crashing
while others are working. Sometimes even the finder is crashing.
I don't know nothing about how to test a font but I thought - just
start it simple.
<http://www.edv-consulting-berlin.de/download/FontCheck.zip>
is a start. It dose nothing else than rendering fonts and see if it
can catch an exception.
If you think that is a good idea, please help me to make it a full
working tool. I'm not sure if it is working, I don't have crippled
fonts to test. I will start to produce some bad fonts with hexedit.
Perhaps my concept is wrong - so please tell me.
The universal binary (10.4) is here:

Please tell me your thoughts

Thanx Florian
