Not Aqua. I think it is not the same. In the Dashboard ProgTopics
for example they say:"Aqua controls don't belong on the face of your
widget." I think it has to to with the same optical technics but in a
different style. The also say something about drop shadow is being done but
I can't find a description for the surface reflection.
