Submitting new feature requests to Apple

How receptive are Apple to feature requests submitted via
bugreport.apple.com? Has anyone any positive or negative experience?
I've left my Select ADC membership expire - would I have more luck if I
rejoined?

I'm guessing it's an extreme long shot - given that I'm requesting an
entirely new component - but if nothing else it might ease my
frustration!

I'm requesting a Flash playback component :- the Flash Internet plug-in
doesn't seem to allow the kind of programmatic control I need, and
Flash playback via QuickTime is incredibly slow, renders differently
and Actionscript support is lagging badly.

TIA,
Mike.

Wouldn't that be a request better made to Adobe?

G (It is Adobe, now, right?)

You're right, it is Adobe now (though I admit I'd have to start my
email with "Assuming you're the right company to talk to..."!), and
they might well be a more likely bet! Thanks.

I used an ADC 'Tech Support Incident' a while back to inquire if WebKit
+ Flash plugin might  be used for our project, and from that discussion
it seems it was a bit of a hot potato being passed back and forth
between Apple and Macromedia. And there's been no news since, or news
of Flash support in QuickTime being improved. Or any "FlashKit".

It's reaching the stage where it could (truly!) cost us clients. Weep...

Thanks again,
Mike.

I hope you find a listening ear with _someone_. Flash animations
currently are a menace if you don't happen to surf the web with a G5...
