Quicktime problems in PowerPoint

We are having big problems with QuickTime in PowerPoint.
The main problem is that it seems that in some settings, QuickTime
movies are adressed with full/absolute path in the .ppt files. This has
a few consequenses - the main one is that you _cannot_ move a
presentation and their movies after you have created it. This is a big
problem for us - many of my users are on the road most of the time, and
want to put their presentation on the server when they come "home", but
since all paths to movies are lost, we can't do that. "Save as package"
doesn't solve this either.

Is there a solution to this?
Is this a known problem?

Try adding movies like so:

- Save the PPT file at least once
- Put the movie files in the folder you've saved the PPT to
- Then and only then insert the movies

That should make the links pathless (ie, just a link to the movie file name,
not the full path). When you open the PPT, it should look for the movie in the
same folder as the PPT from then on. Under Windows, this doesn't work if you
first start PPT then choose the presentation from the recently used files list
at the bottom of the Files menu; works fine if you doubleclick the PPT file's
icon or use File, Open.
