Format cells linked from Excel into PPT 2007

I need to link quite a number of individual cells from Excel into a PPT
presentation.
Each cell will be inserted in the middle of a text line and should of course
have the same format as the text around it.
When I use paste special - paste link, the linked cell has the orignal Excel
format.
Is there any way to force it to assume the format I want in PPT?

You stumbled into the Mac PPt newsgroup:-) You're welcome here, but we don't
have the tools to help you on this issue as quickly as the PC group would.
