Pasting a copied image into POwer POint

Every time I try and copy an image off the web and paste into Power Point I only see the address!! New to MAC and this is not an issue on my old PC...WHat do I do???

It's just that you have more alternatives:-) and what gets copied depends on
the way the page was designed as well as your browser.

Use Edit>Paste Special>Picture

As Bob mentioned, it really depends on what browser you are using and how
you are doing it. Sometimes I find that when I copy out of Firefox, the data
placed on the clipboard is the URL or the alternate text. The workaround I
use is to control+click (or right click if using a two button mouse) and
then select "Copy Image". That should put the image on the clipboard and
then it should paste ok into the Office applications.
