I have inserted a vidoe file into a slide and selected "automatically play."
The file extension is .mov.   It does not, however, play; not automatically,
not if I click on the file in the PPt window nor if I click "Play" in the PPt
window to preview the slide.  It does play if I browse to the file location
and just dbl click the file.  It comes up in Quick time and plays without a
problem.  Ideas

Hi William,

I had the same problem. I right-clicked on the movie in PowerPoint and chose
Custom animation.

I make sure it said "Play" in the actions and then I chose an entrance
effect and set it to play With Previous. That seemed to coax the movie into
playing.
