Just installed Office:Mac 2008, trying to create numerous guide lines in PP. Even in PP 2004 working with guides was annoying at best (difficult to select/copy/move, limit to # of guides, no way to lock guides, etc), but PP2008 is UNBEARABLE:

1. find it EVEN HARDER THAN BEFORE to select a guide for moving or copying - seems WAY more fussy to get the cursor EXACTLY on the right pixel, even if I go to 400% view (the guides obviously are represented by a single-pixel line at any view)

2. many times the cursor doesn't move a guide at all, or drops the guide while moving

3. when I use OPT or OPT+SHIFT to duplicate and move a guide, a couple things go wrong: 1) the cursor displays the decimal measurement representing my movement or my current location (depending on whether the SHIFT key is down) but it doesn't register the proper number - it's stuck on either the current position or on '0.00' (no movement) if the SHIFT key is down. 2) the 'plus' sign displays indicating there's a duplicate guide being moved, but there's NO GUIDE - no blue line, both when I'm moving and when i let go.

4. about half the time I select a guide - whether to move or to copy - the guide instantly disappears and there's a translucent pink 'selection box' actively being drawn (as if I were trying to click and drag a selection around objects).

And as always - why can't I LOCK guides!?!?! Lame lame lame, and makes my work VERY difficult and tedious.

Hi,

Please send each of your four points as separate bug reports to Microsoft
(one bug per report even though they are all related).

Posting the information to the newsgroups was helpful, because now others
will know they, too, should report these same bugs. More bug reports =
greater chance the bugs get fixed.

Here¹s the URL for sending bug reports:
