Anyone know how to change the default widow size at Start-up/Open?

I started using a larger LCD and Mac PowerPoint has the annoying habit of
opening the main PPT file window to take over 95% of the screen even though
the actual slide size only needs 35% of the screen (at 100% resolution).  I
then have to resize the frame by hand to get back the wasted screen real
estate that was being covered by the blue-gray frame background not
containing the actual slide.

Any hints?  No settings in preferences that I can find under Open or other
preferences.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

You can open a presentation in its own window so that PowerPoint does not
take over the entire screen.

To do this, you first need to give yourself access to the command.  Here¹s
how:

From the VIEW menu choose TOOLBARS then CUSTOMIZE TOOLBARS & MENUS

Click the COMMANDS button.

With the CATEGORIES set to ALL COMMANDS in the left half, on the right half
scroll down to SLIDE SHOW IN A WINDOW.

Drag the words SLIDE SHOW IN A WINDOW to any toolbar or menu.

Click the OK button (closes the Customize window).

Once you have done these steps you¹ll have the new Slide Show in a Window
command available to you whenever you want it.
