PDF Add-in PPT-----> PDF w/ hyperlink problem

I have a 6 slide presentation that has hyperlink button to move between
slides. The hyperlinks all work properly in PPT but when I save as a pdf
using the Microsft PDF add-in, the links are not correct in the pdf. The
links are active in the pdf but are one slide off (i.e. instead of taking the
user to the desired page, it takes the user one slide further).

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you possibly posted your question to the wrong group?
So far as I know, there's no MS PDF add-in for Mac PPT, but this is the Mac
PowerPoint area.

I'd guess you want the regular PPT group (assuming you're using PPT 2007).

The PowerPoint Newsgroup

If you've already posted your question there as well, never mind ... we can
follow up there.

A couple things to check meanwhile:

- Do any of your slide titles have commas in them?  Try eliminating them.
- Wild guess:  Is your presentation set up to start numbering slides at other
than 1?

Thanks Steve. I didn't realize this was Mac Powerpoint. I will head over to
the link and ask the same question.

In response to your items to check:

1. None of the slides are titled
2. Presentation starts at slide 1.

It must be something else. Thanks again.

Hi,

For the record, all Apple applications can save as PDF in current versions
of Mac OS.

However, the ability to turn into PDF with active hyperlinks requires
additional software, such as Adobe Acrobat.

And to complete the record, this was indeed a PPT 2007 situation.
Interestingly, 2007's native PDF export (it has that now) preserved the links but
for some reason, the links weren't working in Reader 6 or Acrobat 6.  In 7, no
problem.
