Mac Forum / Applications / PowerPoint / August 2007Problem with XP PPT text displaying in Powerpoint 2007
I support a school district where most of its teachers have been using powerpoint for instruction for quite some time. Some of these teachers have 100s of them. We converted this summer from Office XP to 2007. Now I'm finding very strange things in PPT. Old presentations show with some slides showing the top half of the text cut off. It doesn't matter if you try to edit it or create a new slide, it continues to happen. It doesn't happen to all presentations. AND, if you open the presentation on a different workstation, it may or may not happen! How can we fix this? You'll most likely get a faster & more appropriate response if you post to a group that deals with PowerPoint on Windows systems. Thanks. Found the answer myself, though: you have to install a local printer to fix the problem (even though there is no local printer).
