I need to open a password protected Powerpoint file on my Powerbook
G4. I have Office v.X, the Home and Student edition. Office 2004 for
Mac doesnt have the capability, I dont know about Office 2008 for Mac
that will be out in January. Is it possible to use Virtual PC and a
windows version of Powerpoint to be able to open a password protected
powerpoint file?
Thanks
Jim

Mac PPT versions don't support passwords, but you're on the right track.
If you have PPT 2002 or later (Windows versions) and know the password, you can
open the file in any of them then save an unprotected version that should open
ok on your Mac.

And to add my 2 cents, please be sure to send feedback to Microsoft that
they should eliminate this incompatibility. Use the feedback choice in
PowerPoint's help menu to send the message.
Thanks.
