I've purchased an entire hymnbook on CD-ROM that uses PowerPoint. Each
hymn is a different powerpoint slide. I simply want to copy all the
verses/text and make a text file to use in MediaShout for our church.

When I'm in PowerPoint, I can open up the files, but can't seem to
figure out how to select and copy all the text. I've done this before
(somehow) in the left margin, but the +/- boxes don't let me open up
to see the additional text.

What's the procedure for this?

Thanks for the help,

M

I'm not familiar with MediaShout, but the process shouldn't be much
different - or you can probably go through Word to get there.

Simplest option = Click the first slide icon, Shift-Click the last one,
copy, paste into a blank doc,

Second Simplest - File> Send To> MS Word, then edit the Word doc as needed.

However, if you're dealing with a commercially prepared file there may be
some sort of copy protection implemented.
