In Powerpoint 2007 the shapes (e.,g., a box) is also a textbox. How can I
turn this off? I n the old PPT the shape was a shape and the textbox a
textbox.
With a shape being a textbook, the shape collapses (shrinks) when copied.

Hi Patty,

Shapes in older versions of PowerPoint are also textboxes. So that isn't the
cause of the problem you are seeing.

Unfortunately, I do not see that problem when copying shapes, so I can't
offer any suggestions about fixing this behavior.

As to your shrinking shape problem, try formatting the shape. Remove the check
next to "Resize AutoShape to fit text" in the format dialog box.
