Powerpoint claims to be saving Autorecover files every 10 minutes (as
it's set to do).  But when Powerpoint stops responding (which seems to
happen when I accidentally hit F13--right above the delete key --I
need to disable that!) and I "Force Quit" no recovery files are used
or found.

They are supposed to be saved in Documents/Microsoft User Data/ but
there are only MSWord autorecovery saves stored there.  No powerpoint
files.

A "find" on any document saved today only shows the original file
(last saved four hours ago, unfortunately).

It looks like I might not be able to recover this afternoon's work.
But I'd like to try to fix whatever is broken with the autorecovery
saves, so this doesn't happen again!

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

If PowerPoint closes normally then I think the autorecovery file is deleted.

If the power goes off and the computer simply quits in the middle of
everything then PowerPoint should automatically load the recovery file when
you start PowerPoint.

From PowerPoint help:
*I used the AutoRecover feature, but now I can't find the recovered
presentation.
*If you chose not to save a recovered file after Microsoft PowerPoint
automatically opened it, the file was deleted when you quit PowerPoint.
