making movie crashes program

PROBLEM REPORT

Powerpoint version now in use:  PPTx for Mac

Version the file was created in or opened in since, if any:  same

Windows version:

Other hardware involved (printer, etc):  Using a dual 2.5 PowerPC G5

Description of problem:  When I hit the Make Movie prompt, the program
crashes and closes instantly.

When I do this:  When I hit the Make Movie prompt, the program crashes

Hi,

Thanks for posting your question. Some things to try:

* Make sure your copy of PowerPoint has all of the current updates installed
* Use Apple's Disk Utility (it's in the Utilities folder in the Applications
Folder).  Verify the disk and repair permissions.

If these simple things don't fix the problem try the presentation on a
different computer. If it crashes the other computer then chances are
there's a corrupt element somewhere in the presentation. If it works OK on
another computer then we'd need to take additional troubleshooting steps on
yours. The next thing would be to trash the preferences.
